Terra

Just a short informative post this time!
Another Cloopco design - "Terra" neck-warmer - has been added to the Ravelry patterns data base.
“Terra” is a cabled, seamless, buttony neck-warmer that can be worn either buttoned or completely or partially unbuttoned.
Rich in texture, it is also a very simple knit. The constant intertwining of cables that cover the majority of the neck-warmer represents a great cure against boredom during knitting. At the same time, the simplicity of the main pattern, repeated four times in each row, makes this a great knit even for knitters with no experience in cable knitting.

The pattern has been thoroughly tested by six amazing Ravelers (thank you!) and is now offered as a free Ravelry download.
You can see one of the test knits lilibethsgarden's blog. It's beautful!
The download link and more information about the pattern can be found  HERE.

Happy knitting!

  3. Maja, it's beautiful! I downloaded. Thank you for making this available for free! I have been in love with cables since I learned how to make them last summer. They aren't difficult but they have such an impact.

  4. Hi, Kathy!
Thank you. I'm glad you like it! And you're right- they're just simple knits and purls but the fabric they create is so often breath-taking.

  5. It's gorgeous and although I won't ever be needing another scarf/neckwarmer, I'm seriously tempted :) Thanks for sharing!

  9. Hello! I am a new-ish knitter and this will be my first attempt at knitting cables. I am making a few adjustments for my project, including shortening the cabled section to only one section of the 24 st repeat. I am using bulky yarn that my husband picked out for himself and changing the button band/border a bit to adjust for the differences. I just have one question, which is probably a silly one. But, when looking at the chart, the key shows the empty squares as "Knit on RS, Purl on RS", should that be "Knit on RS, Purl on *WS*"? I tried comparing it to the written pattern and I believe this would be the correct edit. But being a newbie, I just wanted to be sure. Thank you for sharing the pattern! I am so excited to get working on it :)
